Maralyn has done many roles at Bartons and is now responsible for the payroll which now has over 100 staff members.

The administration department always look forward to the December Main Event sale which this year will be held on the 6th and 7th of December. We like to assist our customers at Barton Motors when they arrive at the dealership to find one of our sales consultants who can help them with a purchase of a new or quality used car at Bartons Main Event Sale.

Our team at Wynnum and Capalaba in administration consist of many locally born and bred employees, however we also have an international flavour to add to the team with Joy born in South Africa she processes our banking and deals, Matthew born in New Zealand who is our young Assistant Accountant, Craig born in Swaziland our Financial Controller and Rachel born in England our helpful receptionist.

Jenny our stock controller who sources cars for our customers has purchased a new Hyundai Sante Fe, which she and her family agree is great for long trips to visit her family in Townsville.

All of the administration team are happy and confident to recommend the vehicles we sell to family and friends, and we as a team get enjoyment when our friends and family purchase their vehicles at Barton Motors as we know they are looked after in the same fashion our customers are treated. We as a team take great pride in our meetings each week discussing the enjoyable experiences of our customers, friend and family that have had a great experience at our dealership.

Holden Reports Record Sales for October 2013

Holden this week has reported its best sales results since 2011 for the month of October 2013, after the release of the new Holden Commodore “VF” Series. The VF is now, once again, the number one seller for the Australian manufacture.

Holden has reported that 3,315 of the VF Commodore were sold and delivered last month, whereas Holden’s largest month in 2011 was 3,712 large cars. Holden reported a 35% increase compared to the same month 2012. Even after the earlier model “VE Commodore” run out for the first half of 2012, the Commodore result year on year was still down 16% in comparison. Last Month was also Holden’s best month since 2009.

Whilst in competition with the other locally manufactured vehicle, the Holden Cruze, the VF Commodore has now out sold it. Earlier this year Holden had tipped the production line in favour of the Cruze to handle the high demand for the small car market, however following the release of the VF Commodore in June of this year the manufacturing line-up has now been repositioned.

Holden is now ramping up its production to supply for the high demand for the VF Commodore and the demand for the vehicle has exceeded the expectations of Holden’s sales director Peter Keley. Also, with the October result Holden still believes there is a high relevance for the vehicle in the Australian market.

In addition to this, Holden has also increased the production of the other top end models namely; Redline, SSV and Calais variants.

Michael Atkinson the General Sales Manager of Bartons believes that if more people test-drove the VF Commodore, Holden would again increase the numbers for the vehicle. This is one of the smartest locally produced cars ever built and Bartons has a healthy amount of the Australian built super car ready for test drive! So whatever your desire is the team at Bartons would love to hear from you.
